For fourteen years, I worked and led as a classroom teacher. In my Spanish classroom, I designed my own units and lessons including developing curriculum for a Heritage Spanish class that included various levels of native readers/speakers. I also served as lead teacher in the Academy of Engineering at Overton High School in Nashville where I worked as part of team of teachers and business partners to develop project-based learning curriculum that involved multiple disciplines.
